Nicolas Andreas Taralis
Before relaunching his eponymous label in 2008, the Toronto-born fashion designer, Nicolas Andreas Taralis, studied under Helmut Lang after graduating from Parsons. After his studies, he assisted Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme, later landing an appointment as the artistic director of Cerruti. His own work intertwines masterful, classical tailoring and strong cuts with exaggerated proportions and unfinished stitching into his fashion universe without the constraints of gender. The sensual and romantic vision of the label combined with darker and more dramatic tailoring create a studied postmodern intersection between aesthetic and utility.
