Florence-based ready-to-wear label AVAVAV offers sustainable clothing made from deadstock fabric. Creative director Beate Karlsson shapes the brand’s quirky collections based on the availability of excess fabric in local warehouses. The result is an eclectic line of limited-quantity clothing and accessories that are bold, dynamic, and entirely one-of-a-kind. Colorful patterns, asymmetric draping, cut-outs, and ruching all contribute to the label’s distinctly avant-garde aesthetic. Trousers, skirts, and tops explore flared, oversized, and form-fitting silhouettes, while patent leather boots with finger-shaped toe molds have become the cult brand’s signature.
