Grounds
The Japanese footwear label, Grounds, is the most recent brainchild of Mikio Sakabe, a graduate of the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and founder of his own eponymous label. The concept of the brand is to "change the relationship between humans and the earth (gravity)," to make people more aware of the link between time and gravity, and to dream of their connection to higher dimensions. Their signature soles feel like walking on air, with spherical bubble designs that focus on comfort and supporting the body.
